The FASTSIGNS® concept was created in 1985 by Gary Salomon and his partner, the late Bob Schanbaum. Gary had been a franchisee of another business-to-business concept when Bob and he tested the concept of quick-turnaround signs and graphics. Little did Gary know at the time that he and FASTSIGNS® would revolutionize the sign industry and, in fact, help create an entire new niche within the industry.
By late 1987, there were three company-owned FASTSIGNS® centers in the Dallas metroplex. By that time, Gary was committed to growing the FASTSIGNS® brand through franchising. For health reasons, Gary’s business partner was forced to leave the business.

Today, FASTSIGNS® is a recognized leader in the sign industry with over 500 franchised units in six countries – the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Mexico, Brazil and Australia (operating under the SIGNWAVE® brand). Our per-store gross sales average is the best in the industry by far.* In addition, our franchisee satisfaction has never been greater! FASTSIGNS® was recently recognized as best in Business Services and #2 overall in Franchise Business Reviews Annual Top 50.
The entire management team at FASTSIGNS® is driven toward a common goal: To help our franchisees increase their sales and profitability.
We are a needs-based, business-to-business solutions provider. All kinds of businesses need signs and graphics, making virtually every company a potential customer.
FASTSIGNS® centers use state-of-the-art computer technology to create custom signs and graphics, banners, trade show exhibits, vehicle graphics and much more. We serve the business community and our attractive retail storefronts have the advantage of high visibility and easy access. Our concept emphasizes customer service, quick turnaround and business-to-business solutions. People are the heart of our business, but the store itself is the physical nucleus of FASTSIGNS®. Our sign centers are high-energy environments, filled with creative activity. The glass-walled showroom encourages customers to observe the entire sign-making process, from onscreen layout to finish product.

The bright, clean look of the FASTSIGNS® center reflects the professionalism that drives every element of its operation. Our customers are business professionals, accustomed to personalized treatment, quality products and on-time service. They appreciate the showroom atmosphere of our stores and they value our expert consultation and commitment to service. Typically open five days a week during standard business hours, FASTSIGNS® stores are interesting and attractive places work.
The investment for a new FASTSIGNS® will vary primarily due to the size of your store and its location. Financing is available through third party lenders. FASTSIGNS® recommends that you have a minimum net worth of $300,000 of which at least $100,000 is in liquid assets.
